Booking and Cancellation Policy
GoBritanya offers an unmatched flexibility for booking and cancellation terms
We have three sets of booking and cancellation terms:
- 1. Academic Year Policy, which applies to long-term bookings (37 weeks and longer) with August, September, or October 2025 check-in.
- 2. All-Year Check-In Policy, which applies to long-term bookings (37 weeks and longer) with Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Jul check-ins.
- 3. Short-Term Policy, which applies to all short-term bookings (36 weeks or shorter).
In simple words, if your booking is long-term (min. 37 weeks) and you are checking-in this August, September, or October – Academic Year Policy applies. If your booking is long-term (min. 37 weeks) but you are not checking-in this August, September, or October – All Year Check-In Policy applies. If you booked a semester stay, summer stay, or any short stay – Short-Term Policy applies.

7-Day cooling-off before 15th July 2025 and 1-Day after
Free Cancellation Period
Free cancellation for personal reasons up until 31st May
(only holding fee is retained)

Free cancellation for visa refusals up until 2 weeks before check-in
(only holding deposit is retained)
Payment Plans
Instant Payments: 2% discount
Single Payment: 1.5% discount
2 Instalments: Same rent amount
3 or 4 instalments: 2% interest
Tailored Payment Terms
Due dates may be tailored to your student loan
If you require a special arrangement (more instalments, delayed due dates, tailored instalment split etc.), please see “Tailored Payment Plan” for further info
Cancellation for Visa Refusals / No Student Status
Cancel within cooling-off
Full refund, including the Holding Fee. In other words, cancellation fee is £0
Cancel more than 2 weeks before check-in
Full refund, except for the Holding Fee. In other words, cancellation fee is £250
Cancel 0-2 weeks before check-in
Full refund, except for the Holding Fee and 2 weeks rent.
In other words, cancellation fee is £250 + 2 weeks rent
Cancel after check-in & not collecting keys
Cancellation fee is £250 + 2 weeks rent + accumulated weeks rent from your check-in date until the date you notified us
We, unfortunately, do not offer cancellation for visa refusals after you checked-in and collected keys. We can, however, offer a replacement option
Cancellation for Other Reasons
Cancel within cooling-off
Full refund, including the Holding Fee. In other words, cancellation fee is £0
Cancel before 1st of June 2025
Full refund, except for the Holding Fee. In other words, cancellation fee is £250
We, unfortunately, do not offer cancellation for personal reasons outside cooling-off on or after 1st of June 2025. We can, however, offer a replacement option.
All-Year Check-In Policy
Applies to Long-Term Bookings (37 weeks and longer) with check-ins in Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, June, Jul
and
Short-Term Policy
Applies to all Short-Terms bookings i.e. 4-36 weeks bookings
